What about having a text block with the name of each object? Its clunky but you could store all your data there. Yes, that would be pretty darn clunky and error prone. I think it would be ideal to have a dictionary per object, but that would need to be coded in. Yes, that would be nice, but we stil...

The ability to link arbitrary information/properties to an object has uses well beyond just games. Is there another way to do this? Is there a reason both the blender API and the game API can't have access to these properties?

Attaching extra info to Object

This post over on elysiun sums up my question. I would like to attach arbitrary data to objects that can be read via a python script. Any suggestions?

This looks promising, but that code is not in the blender source. Will it be at some point in time?

Thanks for any help.

Good question

What logo could I use in my piece of software/animation when it says "Made with Blender"?
Thanks.

licensing on new code

I'm considering adding some peripheral code to Blender. Does the code need to have a particular license if it is later to be accepted into the Blender code base? Can this code be GPL code that I've grabbed from other sources?

Thanks

Is the ketsji/ode in Tuhopuu still being developed?
Or is this deal for certain?

mail from blender users

I help admin one of the projects (blend2cs), and a couple of times I have received email from willing volunteers, but I can not seem to reply to them via email and I can not find their names on the blender web site. The latest is zungue @xserve.blender.org. When I send him mail I get <zungue@xserve ...
