What about having a text block with the name of each object? Its clunky but you could store all your data there. Yes, that would be pretty darn clunky and error prone. The ability to link arbitrary information/properties to an object has uses well beyond just games. Is there another way to do this? Is there a reason both the blender API and the game API can't have access to these properties?
I'm considering adding some peripheral code to Blender. Does the code need to have a particular license if it is later to be accepted into the Blender code base? Can this code be GPL code that I've grabbed from other sources?
