Thanks for all the info. I download CVS and got all the source files. I have learned that you have to jump thru hoops of fire just to compile blender on a windows system. Guess i will have to wait until the rings are within my jumping range . Maybe some of those long legged programmers can lower the...

where, what and how?

Hey! the site looks great and all but i am running in circles trying to find some information on the source files. Is there somewhere on this site that tells you how to get the source files and what source files you need to do anything in blender. I know something of the CVS but, what is it? what do...

I don't like making long post but i feel blender needs these things if it ever wants to be widely accepted by industries. I work for an industrial company and if anyone would ever think of using blender for such applications it would have to have industrial tools or what i am describing as decent zo...

Blender will not let you specify where and what size of circle you want. I know you can position your insertion point on screen but then you have go edit the circle again maybe the location and size. I am working on a script to insert a circle to a specified XY position and give it a radius . I will...

I can add lamps, cameras and a mesh( which comes out as a single dot or vertices) but what is the syntax to make it a circle or any standard shape from the mesh menu. and can anyone give me a good source to finding syntax for blender scri...

Question about compiling blender

:?: This may be a stupid question but here goes.

Could someone give me ideas of why you would want to compile a project in blender? Is this for game developers only ? I know you would want to compile your game into an .exe but are there other usees for this?

Thanks

I agree with MacBlender... It is hard for me to work by eye rather than scale. I am a long time CAD and Rhino user.

How about some decent zoom and panning tools!

It would be nice if there were better zoom and panning tools . I am always finding myself trying to do a zoom window.

Where can i find information on development of new projects. How to get started kind of thing.

Thanks
