Compositing/Editing...
In terms of MiniDV support, being able to composite and do editing in blender wouldn't really be a good idea... since editing and compositing is best located externally with a specifically designed package for this (e.g. Combustion 2 is external to 3ds max but they work as an integrated environment)...

Conferences...
Yeah, I see what you mean... maybe we could do the satellite region idea, but then again that brings in some complications. Maybe it is for the best that for now we just stick with the one conference/presentation meetings a year.

Blender Meetings/Conferences Idea...
I was thinking today about how good it would be if Blender Artists/Programmers/Developers/Designers could get together more than once in a year, I know the SIGGRAPH event is held once a year... but I thought it would be a good idea if the community and blender developers, including external blender ...

I can't Come this time :( SIGGRAPH 2004
Hey Ton, I go to Detroit in June 26th, and leave on the 26th July, so I'm not going to be able to go down to the SIGGRAPH event this year (in San Diego?). I haven't really caught up with this SIGGRAPH event business, but is there one held every year, and will there HOPEFULLY be a Blender Class again...

NTSC/PAL/Panorama Question
I've been looking around the code and still have not been able to find the code for the format types (NTSC/PAL/Panorama), does anyone know which file the source is for this?
Thanks,

Time Based Movement...
I'm not sure totally about this... but I've seen one way that is used in games that controls the speed of an objects rotation/movement... this is called Time Based Movement. Maybe this can be another item for the blender wish list? Time Based Movement - You can specify how fast you wish the movement...

Shaders...
Hi thorax, You've probably already read my postings, but... as you know... I had planned to create a shader system in Blender which used Cg, but from many of the requests from people asking me NOT to use Cg, but use another language. I was requested to, if I was going to do a shader system, implemen...

Shaders...
dreamerv3, Thanks for that (I did read it all ) , I completely agree with what you've said according to programming based on a particular vendor. At the time, I had only heard of programming shaders in the Cg language, and RenderMonkey, but I've done some more research and found out that ther...

Shaders...
I've been looking around for some documentation and examples showing non-Cg shader tools, and I've found a few, some of them actually are RenderMan supporters, which would be really good since RenderMan renderers are pretty portable and RenderMan is a very powerful raytracer. Maybe I'll have a look ...

Renderman
Ahhhh, I hear you now, since I haven't really studied Renderman, I wasn't clear on this... I thought.. 3delight was used to render the scene, then the scene is displayed in Blender in the same Render Screen, just using the algorithms of 3delight etc. but still needed a DLL or Plugin from 3delight, b...

Cg Shaders...
Very Very Interesting... I never thought of it that way. Basically, since nVIDIA have Cg only supporting they're cards, and ATI having RenderMonkey only supporting they're cards... they're basically making it so that to use they're products, you have to in turn buy more of they're products to use th...

Cg by nVIDIA...
z3r0_d, I completely agree with you... ...but whats the harm in adding an extra feature? as long as it doesn't get in the way of the normal non-programmer features. I also don't have an nVIDIA graphics card, but I was thinking, ATI also have they're own shader application which could be somehow link...

nVIDIA Cg
Thanks for that Info
But still I think nVIDIA Cg is an amazing thing, and if I could find out how to implement a Cg Engine into Blender as well as into the External Game Engine for Blender I'm working on with a few others, it would help create absolutely amazing effects and graphics
