We are running an event on Sat 25th June 2005 in Wolverhampton called LUGRadio Live (www.lugradio.org/live/2005). The day is based around LUGRadio (www.lugradio.org), a fun an irreverent radio show taking a look ...

Hi,

I have written an article about Blender for Linux User & Developer magazine and we need a hi-res Blender logo. Does anyone know where one can be found? Email me atg jono AT jonobacon DOT org or reply here.

We need this as soon as possible.

I would suggest Python for scripting so you can target the same scripting interface as Blender. Also python is well established.

Incidentally, good luck with this project mr_rob - I look forward to sending bug reports in. :D

and that is about the manual's life expectancy, will it be relivent and up to date in the last 3 months of 2004, after many months of blender development. I am not being rude here, but this is a rather obvious answer. Blender is Open Source and free software. As such, its development relies on that...

mr_rob - If you need help setting up PHPNuke, let me know - I have run it a number of times. I havent got time to hack a PHP site together for you, but I can certainly get nuke installed for you.

Mail me at jono@jonobacon.org if you are interested.

Yep I do write for Linux Format. Keep your eyes peeled this month for a Blender competition. It is the last part of my Blender series in the magazine. I think we definitly need to arrange some sort of UK Blender meeting. It would be great to meet up with other Blenderheads. It does seem though that ...

Oops sorry - I am based in wolverhampton. If there are a stack of Blender users in London, it might be an idea to do something down there. I just think it would be cool to have a bunch of talks/tutorials and the like one day. In the evening we could all go out and get drunk, I mean, drink sensibly. ...

Thius all sounds cool. I like the idea of formulating a UK map - I will look into it and see if I can set something up on my site. We can then pick the best location.

Jono

PS - Any more UK users?

I would be certainly interested in being part of a meet up. Maybe we could look at some dates. I am based in Wolves which is not too far from the Welsh border - maybe Birmingham could be an area to meet as it is fairly central. I suppose we need to see if anyone else responds to this thread first. :...

I cannot believe how quick this progress is being made on this. Does Ton work full time on Blender or is this sleep deprived part time hacking?
