I tried out version 2.28, 2.30, 2.31a and 2.32 and they don't seem to suffer from that problem.

importing objects into a scene

What would be a good way to import one object (composed of several different items) into another scene ? I tried using the append command, but I end up needing to import every single element (say left arm, right arm, head...) Suggestions to make this cleaner? At the end I need to build a small libra...

I tried leaving blender in foreground only, full window on for several minutes while doing nothing and it seemed to work; I loaded a model, rotated it a bit, waited... after a minute the box was freezed I had to hit the power button....

I cannot upgrade: pre-G3 boxes can only run up to 10.1. Upgrade would mean changing the computer or the cpu-board at least.

compiling means heaving all the libraries and tools ready... Maybe I'll give it a spin some day...

bad freezes on IRIX using 2.34

Hey, I have already used blender on SGI and it run quite smooth usually. Now I have an indy for my personal use at home :) Of course I fired up blender and copied over the files to work on.And the hell begins freezes, often of the whole box, sometimes of blender only. Puzzled, since I have 6.5 irix ...

MacOS-X 10.1

Is there a way of getting blender back working on 10.1? up to version 2.28 seem to work. I wonder if just a recompile could do it? (I never compiled blender on macosx) or there are deep reasons for it. I'd like to see a 10.1 version out (possibly different from 10.2+) even if it poses some limitatio...

v2.31a crashing on Solaris

I am experiencing quite frequent crashes on Solaris 2.6 with mesa 6.0. I start up blender, select OOP schematics instead of button in the lower panel, it crashes. Hitting "Z" to shade can cause crash in some scenes. I have one that I saved which crashes consistently at this operation. Here is some G...

refraction confusion

There is some confusion here about refraction: refraction does not automatically imply that one color is bent more than another. It only implies that light rays are bent at the surface between two different mediums with different refraction indexes. The fact that real materials bend light differentl...

progress?

Has someone looked at implementing a preference for doing faster menu drawing? It shouldn't be so difficult to implement: just excluding the drawing of the shadows of the menus and adding the option in the preferences would be a good way to start I think.

good

good thing ;) could you also see if my request for a more minimalistic menu drawing I made in the other forum is feasible and if try to do it yourself or contact the right persons to implement it? I'm using 2.30 and use Mesa's, the "shaded" menus are really really slow to open, I materially see the ...

keyboard shortcuts not working properly on solaris

Keyboard is giving trouble on solaris.
the most notable thing is that F12 doesn't render.
F11 doesn't make the render buffer come up

F2 to save works though. so some F keys work.

animation paths

I am animating a camera inside a quite tight boundary of objects. Navigating though the IPO and continuously checking if the interpolation is correct and I don't go inside an object is tedious. is there a way to show the interpolated spline in the 3D window? so it would be easier to check the camera...
