Sorry, maybe it's already in the code (but as I don't speak gaussian deformations I wouldn't know). The thing that would really be great with having a "muscle mesh" would be to make it so that the collisions with a softbody are "correct". I've been trying out to get a muscle (fluid) inside a membran...

cloth parenting
Is there a way to "hang up a cloth", what I mean is I have a rig of batwing bones (meshes) , and I'd like to use cloth (plane, or even envelopping cube) for the wing membrane, and parent a few vertices to the bones or "attach"/"glue" the edges of the cloth to the bones... Is there any way to this ye...

Another possibility is to use a combination of quicktime VR and Flash, making your environment in blender and using the blender quicktime VR python export script. Having a mac (OSX) helps as most of the tools for assembling the QTVR are freely available from the apple site. There are also reasonable...

I know I'm reviving an old post, just updating the subject of x-grid rendering: It's still possible with OSX-server and from what I've heard it works fine... If you don't have OSX-server edition there's a pain in the arse work around, and a little googling will get you there. Still, would've been ni...

Question
Rui (and others) , I'm currently thinking about the money side of this system (the webpage and support for professional users), as a site for professionals would there be fees or sponsoring options available for professionals? I'm saying this because to start the NDA area, and possible legal office ...

No worries Rui, if you need any help I'm sure you've got it already...fingers crossed for the new job. I'm going to check for prices on the international legal stuff, and hook up with a PHP guru (mostly to talk about server security for the NDA forum) to see if they want to do anything for me... but...

forum guidelines
Just my little idea, for the forum guigelines, to make it clear for everybody what is and isn't likely to be valued on the professional forums: Warning, I haven't taken up my diplomacy 1-o-1 book in a while so my wording might be a lot harsher than I actually would like it to be, also input and comm...

Xgrid rendering
If any of you have been testing how to do network rendering using Xgrid it would be nice to see some feedback here :) If you want to know how it's done here is a very nice tutorial by Andrew Kator: http://www.atpm.com/10.06/blender.shtml Although you might want to change the -f command with -a for a...

"it works" is all I have to say... Radeon 9600... with the atioglxx from ati drivers 3.7 and catalyst installed drivers 4.4 I had a nice easy way to test before this fix ( I ran every setting possible, and moved my mouse in a circular motion over an active blender window while seing cpu load increas...

solution: catalys 3.9
In another thread they said installing 3.9 catalyst drivers helped... so I flung my 4.3 drivers out the door (fresh windows install, just baught an ati 9600, and the blender/ati driver problem occured (cpu load went to 100% when just moving mouse over blender window). It seems that with the 3.9 Cata...
