RSS feed for blender.org

Hi. I was wondering if anybody with Blender would be interested in getting an RSS news feed for blender.org? If so, I would be willing to write a program that would do the job. I'm still a college student (sophomore) in computer science. I've been studying a lot of game-based programming and web-bas...

The long wait for Nurbana Nervana

I am getting very excited about the addition of Nurbana to blender. Though I have never seen or used Nurbana, if it can do half of the things that Maya can do, it will be an AWESOME addition to Blender.... This leads me to the question: does anyone yet have a general guess as to when Nurbana will be...

Umm... it appears that the site with the OGL exporter is no longer active. Would somebody be willin' to email it to me? If so, I'll post the address to send it to. Thanx!

Oh. Well if one already exists, I don't see a lot of need to publish mine. Thanx for the link to the existing exporter, though. :!: That's great!!!

Blender to OpenGL code

Hey. I've been learning how to program with OpenGL in C++. I was wanting a way load blender files into the program. Though my solution to this problem wasn't a very efficient one, it works for the time being. My solution was to write an exporter in Python that exports direclty to OpenGL code in a "....

Oh. I thought that the Pocket PC had like a lite version of OpenGL. Yeah, here it is -- OpenGL ES: http://www.khronos.org/opengles/ Maybe the PocketPC doesn't have this (yet. It should soon, I would think). Maybe somebody should try to make a lite version of blender to work with the Pocket PC. That ...

Unfortunately, russose, it appears that the Pocket PC code was never released as open-source. Why is this?? I haven't a clue. I bought an iPAQ within the past 6 months as well, but Blender didn't work on it. If the code was released, I might learn a bit more of OpenGL so I could work on it, because ...

MY pain in the butt request regarding logging in <(-^_^-)

Every time I surf through the forums and I want to reply to somebody, I realize I haven't logged in. So, I scroll down, log in, and I'm transported to this account-page-thingy. Is there anyway to make it so that when you log in you can immediately return to the forumn place where you were? That's wh...

   WOW! I finally found someone else that uses MYIE2!!!

However, my MYIE2 doesn't see the site as an ad. :?
Oh, well. Pretty nice textures, though. Especially for gaming purposes.

The problem isn't with getting the screensaver to come on during rendering. The problem is stopping it from coming on! The screensaver would be disabled during rendering on older blender versions, but since 2.25, the screensaver DOES come on during the rendering process which, of course, dramaticall...

2 could-be-considered-bugs in the new blender

Windows users of blender 2.23 and 2.25 may have noticed this first could-be-considered-a-bug. Before 2.25 the render window that popped up was a simple window, i.e. the window had no controls such as minimize, maximize, or close. 2.25 and 2.26 have a new popup render window that has these controls. ...
