Hey Ton, I also have a non-PAL DVD player and its very important to me that I be able to showcase this DVD to other Americans who may or may not be able to play it on their DVD players as well. They *all* have NTSC players... but whether or not its PAL compatible is always hard to say. It would mean...

The reason the Cygwin binary is bigger is that the strip command is not used on the the Blender binary under Cygwin. At least I'm fairly confident thats the reason. For those of you who have posted with complaints/suggestions its good to keep the feedback coming. A lot of the things you're discussin...

<sarcasm>Really the developers are simply trying to attract a more negative response from arm-chair developers so that we have something bad being said about us all the time. This gives us motivation to make our work even better.</sarcasm>

You're talking about so much that you're talking about nothing. Your posts just take on this monotone "inner-monologue-on-the-web" form and are nearly impossible to follow. If you have a coherent and important thing to say you should be able to do it in less than 30 paragraphs. One short comment lik...

You don't post requests for CVS builds. Developers and users alike post them to the testing builds forum when and if they have time and/or feel like it. If it were done on a "per request" basis, nobody would ever have time to do anything else but do favors for users. Your ingratitude isn't exactly e...

Thats not a bug its a feature.

Er...I mean...

In my experience the decimator has always crashed blender with large meshes. Tip #1 - Try to avoid using it at all costs, much like Booleans...or...Syrup of Ipacac.

mmelo - your bit is working...ATI knows there's a big market for open source software out there and they're "committed" to providing 6 updates every year on linux drivers. Its not as many as the 12 they've committed to Windows, but there are 92 million windows users out there...so you be the judge.

My 2d functionality isn't broken at all. My card works flawlessly. ATI Radeon 8500 LE from gigabyte with ATI drivers. No problems at all. I think there's more to it than JUST ATI's cards. I think its a combination of hardware causing the problem. But which combination remains to be seen. Some people...
