Some time ago I prepared some rendering presets. If you want to include them in further releases, please have a look at this thread: http://www.blender.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7974&highlight= You can find the presets at: http://sparkynet.no-ip.com/fileadmin/blender/render_presets060130.zip They wi...

Hey Bellorum! Thanks for your nice builds :D Since you are very active on development, could I ask you for a small coding task? Most of it is almost done. Some weeks ago I started a thread on render resolution presets. It is already implemented in Tuhopuu3 and I provided some common presets. But non...

I think, now I understand what your problem is! If you activate the builtin stars background, activate zTranps, the stars will shine through objects even if they have 1.0 alpha! Although they should be occluded. The same happens, if you create a halo BEHIND an opaque object. The halo will shine thro...

Well, you can animate the alpha value of your material. Just move your mouse over the alpha slider and press "i", then select Alpha. An IPO curve for your alpha channel will be created. To see the new curve, go to the IPO editor and select "Material", instead of "Object". ZTrans is just for enabling...

As I promised, here are some presets. http://sparkynet.no-ip.com/fileadmin/blender/render_presets060130.zip Just unzip them into your scripts directory, restart or update menus. Open the scripts window, then simply select "Scripts->Misc->Name_of_preset". Watch as your render settings change by magic...

Ok, this afternoon (MET) I will publish my presets online for testing. They can even be used with _older_ versions, since they appear in the scripts menu! There you can choose "Misc->SVGA" to use the preset for 800x600 rendering. Perhaps the "standard" HD modes are a topic of discussion, since there...

Ok, I found a build of tuhopuu3 and had a look on their way of implementing render presets. Kind of what I thought it to look like. I would create some useful presets if there is a public demand for it! (Now is the time where everybody has to yell) How are chances, this will be implemented in the ne...

Thanks! Where can I find compiled versions of tuhopuu3? Or is there a branch that seamlessly works with Visual Studio or Eclipse?

TIA, Frank.

There is a nice video tutorial at
http://download.blender.org/demo/movies ... torial.avi

And you can find some tutorial material in the list of Blender 2.40's new features, at: http://www.blender.org/cms/Hair_Strand_ ... 722.0.html

Good luck.

Feature Request: Resolution Presets

Hi everybody! There is one thing in Blender that I'm really missing and that could be implemented REALLY fast! In the render window you can choose between several "templates" for your render output, like PAL, NTSC and stuff. To me they seem rather randomly chosen then practical *g* So here is my ide...

The render preview function is really great! Also the support for OpenEXR files! Buuuuuut: For some reason world material textures do not work. I have a scene that uses an HDR lightprobe as texture for the world to get some nice reflections. In Blender 2.41 they are shown correctly, but here the tex...
