I've followed the development closely.
2.40 is awesome.

You guys need to slow down, i have to absorb this plethora of features.

the images on the webpage look very good.
I would use the feature if it produced what you have there.
large meshes can sometimes get confused in 3D space.

Yes, the rotational limits by hand are a pain, but still better than not there at all. I agree that a nice way to set the limit graphically would be an improvement, but not at the expense of usability. When we rotate the bone along its own axis with the manipulator, we get a graphic anyway. A right ...

i don't know who's giving you feedback on this stuff, but...

The orientation IK constraint is superb. I love it.

this will make a huge difference to blender.

Is this certain to go in 2.40 ?

Constraints

I've had a good look around the forum, and i'm using blender now with the prospect of animation. Anyway, for reasons i won't go into... I would like a list of proposed constraints for blender. I see from the wiki, that a re-code is on-hold. would like to see roll-handles on the bones and constraints...

Armature envelopes are nice.
Need more to play with them, but so far, looks like a good build.
