hi, apologies, not sure why reblended is down just now, hopefully it will be back up soon! Genesis - sending you the files now... Blendorphin - the offset / size is taken into account at the moment if you set IPO's for it (at least it appeared to when I tested it!). I'd also like it to work with "Ob...

Tuhopuu 12/6 - more particle fun!

Hi All, Just posting a windows tuhopuu build - the particles functionality is up to date as per http://reblended.com/www/leon/particle (although the icon isn't updated yet!) http://reblended.com/www/leon/thp_pdef.zip The new addition is that you can use 3d procedural textures (noise etc) to "distort...

lightning: I have a fairly recent windows build of bf-blender, with most of the particle stuff in it, if it helps:

http://reblended.com/www/leon/bf-blender.zip

Or do you need a linux version? If so, let me know, and I'll post a patch against latest bf-blender cvs.

Cheers

Hi Gabio, You could do something like the following (although people who know what they're talking about will probably tell me it's nonsense!). I'm not sure how to check whether an object is selected (maybe someone could enlighten me!). First you get the first object in the scene: Main *mn; Object *...

hehe, sorry, I didn't mean it to sound that harsh! Not sure about a collision engine though. OK, here's a coding exercise for you: add a new menu item. When the menu item is selected, move all currently selected objects down by 1 blender unit.... That should give you the basics on how to add a funct...

Ok I will try and make a paper for it.
please don't!

Stick with the coding: you'll be able to do much more meaningful papers later when you understand what's going on in the code better....

Hi Money_YaY, First of all the easy question - checking syntax! How are you editing C files at the moment? If you're just using a simple text editor, you might want to consider using one with syntax highlighting (for Windows I use ConTEXT, but I'm sure there are plenty around for other systems). Thi...

you need to pin some vertices first.

So do a basic unwrap (LSCM or "from window" etc), then pin some vertices.

Now select one of your pinned vertices, G to grab, then toggle live updating on...

Personally, I think it's awesome!

Hi Money_Yay, I just want to start hackking at it.. I'm learning C by hacking around with Blender, so what you're attempting is not necessarily a bad way to go in my opinion. I hadn't done anything more than a little program which wrote "hello" before I got stuck into Blender. The way I started was ...

Hi Rhysy, Some things to check: 1) Make sure the plane normal is pointing towards the particles 2) Make sure you have clicked "recalc all" on the emitter after making the plane a deflector 3) For nice results, the "keys" value should be increased from it's default of 8 to 50 or 100, depending on the...
