How can a keyconfig be copied?
I need help copying a keyconfig so that I can create a new one that has the same settings as the default keyconfig. In the existing preset folder there is a file called maya.py. It does the following: It contains code like the following: # Configuration Maya import bpy wm = bpy.context.window_manage...

Blender should adopt industry user interface standards
On the wiki, I wrote some information about how Blender could become easier to use by adopting common industry standards, both terminology and functionality. http://mediawiki.blender.org/index.php/UserInterfaceStandardsProposal I've duplicated it here also, but the formatting is easier to read on th...

Excellent
This is extremely exciting. Great work! I can't wait to try it out!
I hope something along these lines gets integrated into Blender. The game engine really is the thing that sets Blender apart from other 3d apps. Its extremely cool.

physics super slower in >2.34 game engine
I have a game I've been working on that runs great in the 2.34 version of blender. It runs incredibly slow in later versions however. The physics amount is the leading factor. In 2.36, I tried using GameLogic.setPhysicsTicRate(30) to improve performance, and it is much better, but still far slower t...

tweak mode
I agree with Bellorum. Tweak mode should work like he says, which is how it works in wings3d too. You should be able to specify a difference between tweak and grab mode. Maybe shift-g for tweak... somethin anyway...

Probably the reason you never use the mouse is becuase it works so badly in it current form. The keyboard orbiting isn't as precise, since it does it in steps, and not as quick, since you h...

Thanks for the feedback. The new user comment is especially important. As a teacher, when I show Blender to my students in class the first thing they notice is the odd camera. A real barrier to new users. I really think it would involve minimal programming to actually implement this. Way less than s...

Better Camera Orbiting Suggestion for how to
This idea would make the blender interface much more user friendly, and more industry standard. Blender's interface could be vastly improved by a simple change in how the camera moves/rotates when using the middle mouse button. The camera up vector should not change when you orbit the camera. Its to...
