I wish there were a way for me to make the tranzition to Linux(too poor)... I hear only good things... You would have to be quite poor then, because Linux is free :) The best thing to do would be to download and burn the Knoppix LiveCD. That way you can boot into linux off of the CD, and try out al...

Hi. The problem is that you need to set FREE_WINDOWS=TRUE in your user-def.mk file. I've had this happen to me lots of times when checking out into a new folder. Just to this at the Cygwin (bash) prompt: cd C:/bf-blender/blender echo 'export FREE_WINDOWS=true' > user-def.mk That should do the trick!

Scratch that... the video file *name* is correct, but the actual content is the Verse/Purple video, and not the Design Eye for the Coding Guy video.

It's also interesting how the "Design Eye for the Coding Guy" download actually points to the Purple/Verse video. :?

Yes, the 2.4 UI is already being worked on.

I don't see the point in continuing this discussion... famitsu has yet to reply to a topic he creates :)

If there's no text on the viewport shading, I don't see why the mode needs it, it's just wasting space right now. Well, the edit/object mode is very general and important, its something the user should always know. It causes a lot more changes (buttons appearing, etc) than the drawing mode - so it'...

Spawned objects can't be particle emiters. But particles can be particle emiters. Thanks for that clarifying answer  If you don't know what he's talking about, he means that a particle can have generations - when one particicle dies, it will create new ones. You can control this with the CurM...

the new transform widget stuff is very cool. However, there's a problem with changing modes (local/global/normal) - there is no indication whatsoever what mode you're in. I still like matt's MMB toggle idea - i'd like to try it, even if it seems wierd ;) Also that would be a quick way to turn widget...

it sounds cool.... but i'm not sure how to actually put a script on the toolbar.
Selecting "Add Icon" doesn't open up a fileselect window or import the included scripts.... would you like to provide some more detailed documentation? :)

Can't wait to try it out.

- what to do with G,R,S hotkeys? It could switch the manipulator "mode"... - header button/menu for manipulator mode? I think the hotkeys definitely should change the "mode" of the manipulator. Also, if the mode buttons are shown in the header, it should be done like the vertex/edge/face mode selec...
