I think the best way to solvbe the rendering problem is to make export to rib or other... Maybe in the future there is raytrace in blender... now it's just fake... you have to be good to fake... it's challenge!

I dont know for sure but I think that the rendering quality is better 2.26 than older blender's... or I just hallusinate... :)

But I think that the renderer is better in Blender than outside it... Think example how about all the light's and textures. Do you get it right with external renderer? I don't think so. I don't say that rendering whit external renderer is bad. I just think that importing raytrace in Blender is wise ...

Maybe if start whit very simple raytrace engine it would be easy to import Blender. Then start to add features in it :?: :?

Raytrace is better than scanline (but scanline is faster) and I think that many blender users want to do still images... (okay some peoples are mad and want to use raytrace in animation) so why have to do it in other software? I want Blender-Raytrace :!:

I have similar problem but my black window is the blender window. When I start rendering whit F12 and then put the main window down and get it back up the whole window is black and it wont go away until the render has finished... :?:

How about both... scanline and raytrace... and user can choose witch one to use... but not external renderers... thats plugins for... export and render whit other software example BMRT...

SirDude. that pluginsys was great... but there's still missing some 3D plugins.. how about RIB... BMRT is quite nice for Rendering.
