Depends on the driver

The difference makes certainly the graphics driver. If you have no hardware acceleration under linux, blender will be very very slow. Do you have hardware acceleration for 3D? Since the gui of blender is based on opengl this will surely speed up things. which graphicscard do you have? which version ...

Boolean Operation crashes

Hi,

the binary works under Mandrake 9.0 (with 2.4.20),
but union, intersect or difference on cube/cube or
cube/uvsphere crashes with a seg fault... :(

Runs fine on Mandrake 9.0

Hello,

you have to install libstdc++2.10-2.96-0.80mdk, there is the lib you are missing. But I thought this is installed by default since no programs compiled with gcc2.96 can work without it.

I just downloaded the NaN version and tried it. It works great :P

I have also Mandrake 9.0, but installed the NVIDIA 3123 drivers... :wink:
