Any Interest?

http://rpgcn.com/files/lypsyncher.7z I know, I suck at documenting things. However, I needed a system to take video recorded with a camera then synchronize the lip movements, using really simple shape keys (width and height). That's what this does, sort of. You do have to extract the video frames in...

I think i see what you mean but when I change the envelope settings it doesn't do anything to the mesh. What should I have done before this? I may have not done something right while making the object a parent or what not. I didnt know what I was doing. It should work as long as the modifier is set...

2.54 Great but not perfect

The GUI really abuses resources making it slower and increasing the chances of a crash. The new features and tools are awesome though, so is the new renderer. The only real flaw I see with the new version is the GUI, with version 2.49 you could set it to a low end GUI which made it function pretty w...

2.54 Confirm On Release - Linux - Not Working

Yep, you simply can't turn it off, checked or unchecked it doesn't change anything. By my understanding unchecking it should result in old Blender style "click-move-click" editing but it doesn't. OS is Ubuntu 8.10 in case that matters. Edit: I did find a work around but thought you should still know.

Like the adjustment from to something new there will always be differences. I'm barely getting use to the new names, they feel dumbed down to me, IPO is now Graph Editor. But as I look more into it, there is a lot more in the controls than before, which is a huge benefit when designing. Though their...

Wind ..... Not just the simple tunnel wind, but actual wind that can interact with the scene. This I know would be tough, but it would be nice to just throw in a few variables and a source direction then produce a storm. Which brings me to the one I would use if you had wind ... a mode detailed soft...

It may also be wise to look at the Graph Editor (use to be IPO editor). It will allow you to alter how the change is made. It's a useful tool for many things but for any texture or material settings changed during animation it's priceless.

First, the simple possibility ... make sure you have the render enabled for the cloth modifier (it looks like a picture on the button). I forget those sometimes myself. The final is something I have been meaning to mention to Blender coders for a while but just haven't bothered. If there is a subdiv...

I believe you are referring to the envelope setting, though it doesn't set the vertice weight value it creates a bubble of sorts treating vertices in that bubble as if they had a weight value based on the distance from the bone. In 2.5 click the Bone button after selecting one, go down a bit to Defo...

Blender 2.54

I started with Blender after several attempts before, but when I gave up on Windoze, I had to force myself to figure it out. I'm glad I did. This newest version is absolutely sweet, the default layout took me by surprise and the new window manager commands took a bit to get use to, but it imports th...
