Here is a wheel and piston blend that uses a driven ipo -- It might help you.

It doesn't appear to be open source -- You have to register to download etc. Do you have any idea what licence it is distributed under? There is also no mention of what operating system(s) it runs under -- I'm guessing windows. Does it use opengl or directx? Is the source downloadable?

I think that the "sticky" texture space might work for what you are trying although I am not that familiar with its usage.

Feature Request -- Backface Culling for modelling interiors

When modelling interiors of rooms, caves etc. (where normals are pointing toward the inside of the object) we are currently stuck with either working in wireframe mode or hiding some verts in a solid mode in order to see inside the model. It would be nice if there was a toggle to not display the fac...

Another bug. In face loop cut "proportional" can give strange results.

Found another bug. With angle display depressed some angles are shown in the wrong location (often overlapping). Lengths and areas are fine.

Two small problems -- When moving a vertex constrained on an axis the new way the axis is drawn completely covers up the vertex so you can't see where it is moving to and I sometimes have to turn subsurf on and off for the smoothing to look correct with the new faster mesh editing. The new normal co...

Export a dxf from autocad and import the dxf. You may have to adjust the scale and have some cleaning up to do (removing double verts etc.)

Joeri, I think your english is what's confusing the matter. I want it to behave exactly as in your picture on the left. I'm not asking for the picture on the right. Currently in bf-blender you have to have both ends of the edge selected or you can't see the distance. I don't want any additional info...

joeri wrote: How would I know wich of the 3 edges is wich of the 3 displayed numbers? By asking this question you obviously haven't even tried the command and noted how it presently works. The lengths are drawn in the 3d view beside the edge it describes. Only edge length? If you read my original po...

you could just hit control+padPlus No this wouldn't give me the functionality I'm looking for. The way it is now if I "display lengths" and select an edge I can see the edge length change dynamically as I scale. If I move one end of the edge I can't see the length change because I only have one ver...

Edge length in bf-blender

The new edge length display requires the verts at both ends of the edge to be selected in order for the distance to be displayed. I would find it more useful that if by selecting a vert all edges entering that vert had their lengths displayed. This way you could move a vertex and see the new lengths...

Take a cube and subdivide twice the turn on subsurf level 2. Duplicate a portion of the mesh and press p (separate) causes a segfault. Without subsurfing separating is no problem -- so probably something wrong with the new subsurf code. Rendering seems faster than on 2.36 but I haven't timed it. Gre...

Shrink/Fatten already moves along normals (Alt-S). I realize this but it also makes the face larger/smaller. Say you have a wall at some angle that does not coincide with the world or local axis (common with floor plans). I just want to grab the end verts of the wall and vary the length of the wall...
