I'm just describing a subsurf method, I know it's doable. It's just another method like simple subdivide and catmull clark, clear now ?

yea, I know, but what could it hurt ? Another idea, a evenly space subsurf, which would be the top one compare to the bottom one.

Here's an idea, keep the triangle method and use subsurf to keep the poly count low, then if they want it can be converted to quad mode.

Yes, I see what you mean, well, my idea is a little different and it would probaly be easer to make, there's already a maya paint script for blender, it uses links to effect the mesh, the negative feedback you are getting is from the triangle mesh, the idea I had was to take the present mesh, subdiv...

Or this image was created with CAD, so when it export it it had to convert it to triangle. But I think this would be good to add details to a model in real time.

That's ok, I admit I'm very ignorant, it's just that my money had been tied up lately and I wasn't able to afford the book, I'm hoping I would be able to afford it next mounth, till then I'm just going have to ask :(
