CVS down?

I'm trying to download from CVS to compile. My client is reporting:

CVS server says “error No space left on device”
CVS server is not responding as expected.

Is CVS temporarily down or do I have a problem on my end?

You can select all your objects at once and append them in one shot.

You can right-click and select multiple objects individually or you can hold right-click and drag to quickly select many.

I can't offer any help, but I can tell you that the script seemed to work fine on the latest version of Blender for me, 2.34. I can get empties to dance around :)

Actually, the script is in the import menu on 2.34.

I'm running it on OS X.

Tell you the truth, I set up my current characters spine with the first suggestion you gave, and it works pretty good.

Don't worry about it, I like your way better :)

you want them to rotate exactly the same amout? interesting. Not sure how this will get a natural spine, but let me know if that's what you mean Yeah , each one rotates individually. This is not good for a true anatomically correct creature, but it should suffice for cartoonish characters. If you c...

case one: parent bone small child target (just a helper) next bone, not child to either bone. copy loc constraint, applied to the "next bone" target the small child target. rinse, repeat. case two: parent bone child bone control bone for child (not child of parent) apply copy rot constraint from ch...

they're not that tricky- seriously True. I understand their are work-arounds, and theirs a way to do anything if you know what you're doing. I'm just proposing this as a posibility for the future; what I'm propsing seems more intuitive then having to rig up a bunch of constraints, at least to me. I...

i rely more on tricky setups with constraints I think thats the problem! :) Tricky setups. The way I'm suggesting is the way Maya handles bone rotations; not sure about other packages. The new hooks are cool, I actually used them recently for the weekend animtion challenge over at elysiun. It helpe...

you're violating what parenting is about. How would this violate parenting? If you individaully rotate joints they maintain their relative position in the hierarchy, all I'm suggesting is the same thing without having to rotate each bone one by one. You would still be able to rotate parent bones in...

proposal, better fk joint rotation

Say you have a relatively long joint chain, like a spine. Right now, selecting the root joint and rotating has the same effect as selecting all the joint in the chain and rotating. I propose that if you have several joints selected in a chain, rotating them will cause each one to rotate individually ...

feature request: alphabetical bones and vertex groups

When parenting bones within an armature, it would be nice if they were listed in alphabetical order in the popup menu. When you have a lot of bones they can be hard to find. The same should go for vertex groups.

I compiled BF yesterday, and it seems that vertex loop select isn't working.
Anyone have a compiled OS X 10.3 version for little moa to test?
Joongle, I don't have space to host, but I can email it to you. PM me if you want it.

edit: I see that theres no PMing on these boards.

Spline IK's! I was just thinking about them so I did a search and found this old thread.

It would really make rigging a character's spine much easier.

Doing it FK is slow, and I always have problems when I try to rig a spine with IK.

Are IK spline/curve constraints in the future?

I've updated freetype with Fink, but I'm still unable to get this to launch.

Any ideas?

Cool, I've been wanting to try the hooks!

Problem though,

Code: Select all

dyld: /Applications/Blenders/hooks/blender.app/Contents/MacOS/blender can't open library: /usr/local/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib (No such file or directory, errno = 2)
Do I need to download freetype with fink?
