You know, that thing of the particles not working with armature is a real oldie...
You mean lattice, not armature (right?) Anyway, are you saying that this has been a known issue?! :o

Well, I just made a new mesh and used hash subdivide. It works the way I want it to now. So then I made a mesh tube, gave it particle deflection, and sent a stream of particles into it. Sweeeeet! This has GOT to be included in the next official release!!!!! :D

Thank You. Installing & running just fine. But now I am having a problem with the particle system itself. My particles will emit in only one direction regardless of the orientation of the emitter (which is a simple subdivided mesh). In other words, the particles emit normal to the face in a certain ...

Windows vs. Linux - which renders faster?

Has anyone compared the rendering times of Windows XP vs. Linux? I am a Windows user, but I am thinking of setting up a Linux partition and running Blender on it.
