Hi, with the growing possibilities to use things like multi (UV) textures, for lightmaps, Normaps, using Blender Materials, I would like to see that the Material system will be more unified for rendering and the Gameengine or exporting to external engines. Right now it is hard to get a good workflow...

I think it is not possible without Python.

In Python you can use the system time as seed for the getRandomFloat() function.

Is core duo optimized == Pentium-M and sse3?

I lost track about the CPUs at PentiumPro level I guess ;-)

One more thing, where do I get the ffmpeg development package? I could not find it in the debian rep.

ffmpeg is installed but there is no ffmpeg-dev or such.

Great, the shaders are nice and much faster than the old vertex moving ;-) However, Blender comes to its knees if I use vertex-shader and the VInterlace stereo mode. Too bad as we now have a (auto)stereo display :-( Seems the "hack" to get vinterlace is not compatible(?) with shaders? Regards, Carst...

Interesting work. I think you should go wit that Open Source word: "Release early. Release often".

Often you get into dead ends while beeing the only developer or even user of a piece of software.

Its already in the new seperated gameengine bug tracker (in fact 2 times, beacause the game engine tracker was seperated from the "Blender" Bug Tracker at this time) Too sad nobody seems to deveolop very much for the game engine and nobody knows about the bug tracker seperation ;-( Carsten Its here:...
