Hmmm.. Dxf blues again... The DXF format is fully documented in each release of Autocad (the full version, not LT's) and they change it from time to time to adapt to their needs. I will talk in Autocad terms here. If you want to import a cad drawing without solids, you will have to prepare it for export to blender. First you have to scale the drawing to have a size total of -15,-15,-15 to +15,+15,+15 . otherwise blender can import it... but you won't be able to "fully see it...

Macouno: It won't work. (meshes selected disapear after apply changes...)

Broken: Thanks for the interest!... i'm looking forward to the next version to do this... i think i will add some more things to my little monster of project in the meanwhile.. :)

Me again here. I 've seen here a way to copy some properties between multiple meshes. but since i can't find this again i'm gonna ask: select a number of meshes using the BKEY. Try to set autosmooth to 35 and apply. only one selected mesh is changed, the rest is at default. Same to materials and oth...

done the two things... none of them works for this... nahhh... i've done it at last but the long way... asigned every item a color in autocad and exported it in 3ds. imported in blender and all things worked ok. Dxf input of this never work with the old version of the drawing and i got permission to...

Again me.... finally i've imported the acad model i'm workin on onto blender sucessfully... But another problem appeared here.. hmmm... That's not a 3dsmax object..(Maybe i should have write Acad 3d instead 3d... ). is an autoCAD (DXF) originally designed with ACIS solids and exploded to meshes objects (Blender can´t understand ACIS objects but not a big deal here :-) )... but well.. anyway i reduced the image to 1:10000 and...

i know that... in my house i've a Radeon 9000 as a video card. But since i've some spare time in work i wanted to learn some of blender since i've heard some of it... and my boss aren't wiling to sign the papers to buy a videocard just for that. :-)
