Inconsistencies in the functionnality of the bevel modifier.

Sorry to put this here but I couldn't find out who developped the bevel modifier. I guess that the following was intended. Nevertheless it seems that the users are often confulsed by it: - it is impossible to add any bevel weight to an edge using the Ctrl-Shift-E shortcut when we are in vertex selec...

Yup, they all but ignored the 2.50 subject. Still too much to do... If you are really, really anxious about that development, you could assist to the devs Sunday meeting itself, held at 15:00 GMT on IRC (Freenode, #blendercoders). It is customary for non-devs to hold their peace there. The one time ...

Hoping that you'll come back to read this... well I'll cover my bet with an email... You are on a developer forum. You'd have better chance is you aimed your request at users. The main user community is, by far, http://blenderartists.org/forum/ but is you check the 'User Community' link above you ma...

Just so you'd know that you haven't lost your time I appreciate the good news about an application that I used for years... but not any more since it isn't available on Linux, which I use exclusively now.
I wish them the best success.

A more recent compile for Tuhopuu3, maybe ?

There may be a reason why there are not frequent testing build of Tuhopuu3 which I don't know. If so tell me.
Otherwise I know someone who would gladly build one if he had access to the sources. Could it be allowed ?

Thanks

Efbie : would a degree of transparence (like for the Nkey dialog for example, if possible) work for you ? I'd like that, especially if it was possible to set it in the Preferences. I don't like the idea of a grayish widget so much. Boy that must be quite a trip to try to satisfy everybody for the de...

Try as might I can't get out of my head that there shouldn't be so much difference in handling between the local and global transfo. Same widget with just a marker (the color of the center ball ?) to tell if we are in local or global mode. That's a simple matter of consistency. The "All-in-One" widg...

So I'm a beginner of sorts too. 8) Now, don't go beat yourself on the head ( and more importantly ;) don't beat *me*...

Re: little ObjectSelector script

Sorry I dont find no function in Blender to select objects by type or by name. Is there are an function? Menu Select in the 3D > Select all by types... For selection by names just use the Ouliner (shortcut shift-F9) Before saying that Blender is not user-friendly, why no wait a bit, just to know it...

That's pretty much what I've been doing, except for remaining in grag mode that is. But it was my understanding that real MMB flashers found that this was too slow a process for their fast synapses. ;)

Anyway, thanks for everything and the best of luck.

BTW, I tried the new rotation / scaling widget : that's quite a balm for my old mouse arthritis !

Are you nearing anything you'd call a version for the transform reform ?
