This last comment was my thought as well! The amount of work that would have to be done to Blender to make it a viable game_dev_toolchain would be enormous. But, since it is a tool CHAIN, we (rather those intrepid volunteers), can work at Blender's behaviour and value as the first couple of links in...

A not often tout'd feature is the Sequencer as well. I have had sooo much trouble finding a good video editor for Linux and Blender's sequencer blows them all away. The only thing I need to find for it now is how to title.

Well, not exactly what I was looking for, but I can probably use it. Should I ask questions about improving the greenscreen here? If not, where? I have a little test clip I did, using a green table cloth, no less, and it worked great, except for the hair. Looking for pointers. http://www.statikonlin...

plugin to use for this effect . . .

Hi all, I am trying to chroma-key something, and I'm wondering . . . if I have a clip of the background, and I have a clip of the background with someone walking in front of it, shouldn't I be able to DIFF them and get the person walking? I'm trying to use the DIFF plugin, but it takes THREE strips ...

sequencer plugins . . . no float?

Hi all, I've been eagerly awaiting 2.43 for linux so that I can use the sequencer to do some video effects and editing. I've tried a few of the sequencer plugins and they have an error on them that says something about no-float. Is this a problem with my blender install (I'm using Ubuntu and there i...

Blender Sequencer Features, effects and tutorials?

Hi all, I seem to remember a webpage that used to list the features and effects for the blender sequencer. Now that FFMPEG is compiled in, I went looking for it but I can 't seem to find it. Anyone know where it is? Also, are there tutorials for using it? I've found this one: http://www.zoo-logique....

Sorry if you missed it, but that was tongue firmly in cheek. I just barely scratching the surface of what blender can do so I'll probably not run into anything that 2.36 brings to the table. I do get excited, but not like that. :P

Teachtech: Hey, I give credit where credit is due. Blender is awesome, but for someone with my limited time, I couldn't 'play' with it enough to learn anything. With your tutorials I've managed to start creating things. I'm about to start the IK section now. As you can tell, I'm still slow, but I'm ...

/me vibrates in his chair in anticipation.

Blendering is addictive. Now that I've finally started, I can't stop . . . sleep is suffering.

Damn you Ton for creating this great thing!
