Aren't they the same ? Oh well, I suppose I was referring to the online documentation. If I get some friends to use Blender, they'll first want to have a free doc to get started, so it seems most important to start by translating the online pdf. All I need is that pdf in a modify-friendly format, .d...

Translate documentation into french

I've been using Blender for the last three years, and I'd really love to help improving it. The main problem for that is that I can't code. But one thing I can do is write, and I'm fairly nearly french, so I thought I could translate the documentation into french. I'm a student, so I have plenty of ...

How come this feature isn't yet in Blender ?

At the moment, the OOPS window seems to work in a strange way. When you select an object, it appears selected in the 3D view, but the different panels of the button window aren't refreshed, so you can't access and modify directly the material, the object name etc. Is this in fact a bug ? And wouldn'...

All I want is a quicker way of making selections in Blender: selecting the four vertices that make up a in one click by clicking on that face (4x quicker). This is just adding two features which simply makes modeling less tedious (selecting every-single-vertex-one-by-one). This doesn't seem to be a...

It seems to work fine with me. But wouldn't it be possible to also mask the non selectable vertices, maybe just in wireframe shaded mode ? When you see an object in wireframe shaded mode, the backface vertices make it look a bit messy. I've tried a few other 3D apps, and Blender seems to be the only...

The mouse wheel is really a good idea and works fine on number fields. But why doesn't it work on sliders (like for material color settings) ? Also, it would be probably even better if you could modify the accuracy with Shift and Alt keys. Shift would make the step bigger (less accurate but faster) ...

Yes there is. It's my favourite one. If you considere I'm a god, then you can just agree with me.
Anyone here thinks I'm a god ?
Nobody !? Really...

Well maybe you're right...

I find Thorwil's idea quite nice. But what about also adding to that the possibility to use the mouse wheel ? I noticed the sliders highlight when the cursor moves over them, but it doesn't do much else. Wouldn't it be much more simple to make the slider "active" then and use the mouse wheel (in com...

Easier acces to Python scripts

Is there any way to be able to put links to Python scripts directly in the Blender interface ? There is this script window with a menu where there are a certain number of import and export scripts. Is it possible to just write a script and then put a link in that menu ? And what's the "misc" empty s...

The point was that the design of the UI controls is influenced by function, not just form, With that particular example, the 'handles' are smaller in order to maximise the clarity of this effect - the wider the handles, the less accurate the information one can gather through judging the size of th...

But wouldn't it be more simple to simply add a face select tool (I don't really see the use of edge select) ? You would just use it as a tool, and it would select faces by automaticly selecting the vertices composing that face. This way there would be nothing else to change in the main code. And bei...
