look for sourcenavigator, it runs under windows. I also use cscope with a little modification to parse c++ files, and im very happy with it.

Yes, you have to; are you new to programming? if thats the case, try reading "thinking in c++" these books are good and free =), actually blender is coded using c, and the gameengine is coded using c++, but the books are usefull for c programming too. Actually I found the error is a compiler issue http://www.itee.uq.edu.au/~emmerik/STL.html, so some gamengine headers should be reorganized to avoid this things.
