It's in Tuhopuu3 and is in the processing of getting into the bf-blender release. There were some loose ends that needs to be taken care of. It's been posted, so hopefully it will be out soon. Try the Thuopuu release whenever it's posted.

The patch has been posted. It's in the thuopuu source now.

I think my wife and 3 children would take issue of your proposal. That's quite an offer for only 20 lines of code.

For those who are having trouble with the patch, you can download view.c at

Turntable view rotation - Patch

Ok, I have a patch for view.c to do turntable viewport rotations. It works well and is very simple. I don't have commit privleges, so I'll need to submit the patch to someone who does. For those who can build, the patch is available at http://washucsc.org/~jha/blender-source-blender-src-view.c.patch...

Turntable view rotation

This request has been beaten to death in the forums. I've downloaded the latest CVS source and have a working build environment. Unless there is a huge objection, I'd like to implement the turntable view rotation where there is no roll to the camera. It would seem that most users use Trackball view ...

Orient to plane feature request

This is an easy one. Since Blender's modeling relies on the current view for performing moves and edits, it would be nice to be able to orient the current view to a plane. So say you have a shape that has polygons not on an x,y,z plane, it's nearly impossible to move a vertex without changing the or...

Non-Symetric field of view rendering

This is a request for non-symetric field of view rendering. Currently, there is a single parameter for the camera field-of-view (Lens). This particular application I'm working on is to perform camera matching to extract camera angles from live video to merge with CG video. Most cameras don't have an...

I've tried that and it doesn't work. Try it on the dxf model that I posted.

Importing DXF files

I'm trying to take models created in a cad program (Unigraphics) and then import them into Blender for further editing. The common file format is DXF which Unigraphics can export. However, when I try to import a dxf file into Blender, there are a lot of holes in the model where faces should be. Ther...

I've made a little progress by duplicating the figure in place, and creating a different wireframe material for the new object. This renders ok, but the lines are too narrow.

So I guess the next question is, can the width of wireframe lines be changed?

Thank you

Rendering all edges

Below is a sample rendering of the inside of a wall. The edges show up with the Edge button selected and Eint set to 1. http://www.washucsc.org/~jha/3dwall.jpg I intend to use this to illustrate stud layout for framing up walls and roofs. The problem is, not all edges are shown. In particular, the j...
