Hey harkyman, do you know what the status of animation paths is? I heard somewhere that they were implemented in one of the latest commits but weren't editable in the 3D view yet. I'm really keen on that feature, it's what I've been hoping for since I first saw Project Messiah.

Negative. I love that feature. Perhaps this could be added as a preference, but not turned on by default.

Sorry for bumping this, but I just wanted to bring this thread back to people's attention. Especially in coherence with the recode for the Orange Project, harkyman's suggestions might of value. Personally, I think those functions, especially the NLA stuff and Animation paths, will help n00b animator...

Sometimes it's necessary to toggle out of subsurf mode and see what the low-res cage actually looks like. This is what I do whenever I get something like that, especially when working in optimal mode. It can sometimes create a completely false image of what the mesh topology looks like. Edit: One th...

And i got a modelling problem with the reworked Knife tool. Normally i modell this way: http://www.neeneenee.de/blender/features/modelling.gif Plane> Subdivide> Knife Middpoints> Scale> Extrude But this is impossible now. I absolutely agree, and I've complained about it at least one time before, an...

Alpha viewing does not work properly. I'm not sure if this is just me or what, but here's what I get, despite .999 opacity (marked in green):

Actually, the SPH fluid system I am designing will have fluid-fluid interaction as well as fluid-object interaction. In general I think that fluid-fluid interaction will be easier to implement than fluid-object collision. This is because the mathematics will already be in place for a fluid to inter...

What would be great is to have a fluid dynamics panel similar to the current soft-body panel. Here, the user would be able to choose which algorythm they want to use, either PSH or LBM, depending on the desired effect. I think for both algorythms, all & any access to other objects (particle solver, ...
