My mistake! Not only has it been retained (in a different panel), but its got some very interesting additions..!

Should motion blur work with softbodies in animations? Neither the softbody effect, nor the motion blur, appears to render. Animation works fine without motion blur, and still renders work fine with motion blur. Just can't seem to get motion blur on softbodies to work in animation tests. Good to see...

There are several reasons for the object not to jiggle. 1. The SOFTGOAL group weights are all set to 1.0 Huh? The group weights on ALL of the sample .blend soft objects are set to 1.0 -- and they work! I've given up, anyway. Far too much time wasted trying to decipher awful directions. Nevermind. I...

May be you don't named correctly the softobject (must be: soft+anything Ex: softSUSY) or may be you don't was create a vertexgroup called: softgoal. No, I named the object "softSphere", and got access to the Softbodies panel; then, I selected all of its vertices and created a vertex group called "S...

@scooter: There are no 'usable' softbodies in blender right now. Oh, thank God. I thought I had suddenly lost all of my reading comprehension skills when I tried to get that wiki tute to work. One question, though, which is that the sample softbody .blend files work just fine, but I can't create a ...

I would really love to test the softbodies feature, but the wiki explanation (the only explanation in existence) is so unintelligible and poorly written that I can't figure out what's going on ("a bang - bang (0,1) painting"? What does that even mean? ). Can anyone on this board explain, in a series...

First of all, this is excellent. The speed-up is a great relief. In terms of reporting back information, I have this: > All of the text-drawing issues are resolved except for the file navigation and the render progress bar. I haven't tested everything, though. The render progress bar definitely slow...

If you can't get it to run in the first place, I can't help you. But if you get it to run, and it crashes during use, try this: It crashed on me until I turned off the 'Make Leaves' button. Then it ran without crashing. Of course, I can't make living trees with it, only decrepit old dead ones... :( ...

The slow menu problem still exists in this build. Any idea if the slow menu issue will be resolved in 2.34? It makes Blender impossible to use! Every single function gets so slowed down by the slow, slow text draw that it takes HOURS to do the simplest things, and it is immeasurably discouraging. S...

Thanks to both of you. I was hoping to do it as a script in Python, but the plugin approach may be the way to go. Sadly, my skills in writing .c are pretty poor :( I only used the 'pixel' idea as a metaphor, and perhaps an inaccurate one at that. The problem I'm having is trying to figure out how to...

Is it possible to render a single pixel at a certain x,y,z coordinate? Not a mesh object, but a purely added pixel, at a certain depth, that can be situated in front of/behind mesh objects depending on camera location. I wonder this because I'm planning out a script to generate a variable-depth mist...

dmao: You must have done something wrong, but that's obvious without any documentation on a complex feature ;) I'll write documentation on all this when I have time... Okay, I'll bite. Its been over a month and not a word about how to actually use this. Can somebody, anybody, just give an idea abou...
