Re: ...

What's happening is he's creating an object, then going into edit mode and adding another new object. Because you're in edit mode then you get both objects as part of the same mesh. Go back out of edit mode and you see both circles which are actually one object. If you're in edit mode, adding any ne...

The PSP is also a closed platform. You can't legally develop on it without purchasing an expensive license from Sony.

I'd like to offer an intermediate linux users opinion. I like blender to be fast. I love how light and feature packed it is in a small footprint. Moving blender to QT, GTK, FLTK <name your favourite cross platform toolkit> would be a bad move in that all these toolkits add weight to the application ...

here while this forum cannot match what Elysiun offers. I think blender.org can offer much more than what elysiun does (website pretending forum) Maybe that will change with the new elysiun. Hmm, I suppose I'm wrong in saying blender.org can't offer what Elysiun does. What I really mean is, if a us...

I don't agree with creating a user forum here. Elysiun already provides a full resource for the general user community and it would be foolish to split this up between there and here while this forum cannot match what Elysiun offers. All we need is the link (on the right hand side) changed to say De...

Hi folks, It's clear that the move of blender.org to merge with blender3d.org is creating some confusion with regards to the forums. These forums are getting a lot of normal user posts as the user's are going to blender.org and clicking on the big forum button on the left hand side. I think a bit of...

Hi everybody - simply changing CTRL-UPARROW to a less cumbersome shortcut (CTRL-SPACEBAR or SHIFT-SPACEBAR, or maybe something else) Ctrl-Spacebar is now used for the transformation widget selection menu, so I understand... - changing the behaviour of the Spacebar like this: hiting Spacebar maximiz...

apt is the package system for Debian. Debian repositories are notories for being out of date as they contain only the most stable (by debian standards) packages. There are more "unstable" repositories but I've no idea what version of blender they contain. Apt is a great package system but its certai...

Just a quick question regarding this. I've been toying about with Tohupuu3 and I like the new transform and manipulator functions. What's the keybindings for constraining transforms to 2 axis? I also love the shift+space patch for enlarging a window. Its now almost possible for me to work in a singl...

I too would like this added. Either of the two current modes drive me nuts and sometimes when intricately examining a model I get in such a mess with the viewport I have to reset. It's frustrating and its good to see others voicing on this issue. The two current modes seem so similar as well and bot...

Hmm, the ergonomics of using the ALT modifier worry me a bit. Personally I use a pinky finger on CTRL and SHIFT but use my left thumb on ALT. This means any alt modified keys any further than really F or G at a stretch need me to move my pinky to alt or use my right hand. Only issue here is locking ...

Constrain transform tools on 2 axis

Hi folks, Not sure if this has been discussed or considered before. What I think would be beneficial is if the Move, Rotate and Scale tools had the ability to constrain onto 2 axis at the same time. At present if I need to move a point "diagonally" I press G, I can then constrain only 1 axis, move a...

Or else somebody change that CTRL-UP ARROW shortcut... I changed it in my own build to Shift Spacebar a while ago, and it's worked beautifully. It's far better when I don't have to take my hands off the keyboard - I'd never use it otherwise. How do you access the tool menu? I'm sure a patch wouldn'...
