hi,
drag all the contents of the .dmg archive to a folder on your mac.

call this folder "blender", put it in the Application folder,
drag the blender's files from the dmg to this folder,
drag the blender icon to the dock.

hope this helps you :)

Hello, Blender uses OpenGl for drawing all the interface elements, not only the viewport like Maya does. So I think (but I'm not sure.... :) ) that the problem is in the few amount of video ram on your machine. I have a G3 500mhz iMac, and blender works....very slowy...but is usable :) and on I've 1...

Hi, Blender cannot create normal map from an high poly model and a low poly UVmapped model, but for doing this you can use a simple script that can run the "ATI Normal Mapper" executable that can create normal map. More info on this script can be found on this site: http://www.ogre3d.org/wiki/index....

Blender 2.42 MacIntel Official: bugs

Hello,
the official Blender2.42 build for the Intel Macs has some bugs:

-when loading PSD and Tiff images, the colours are wrong
-the game engine is a console application and not a .app folder, so Blender can't find it.

hope this is the right place to post this....

thanks[/list]

think about this:
when you draw in Autocad, or in a generic 2d program,
you are drawing in XZ plane? no you're in XY plane, so
when you go in the 3rd dimension, you'll have the Z on the height.
It isn't natural?
