xgrid for mac os x - distributed rendering possiblities

For us mac os x users Apple who have access to more than one computer has released xgrid - www.apple.com/acg/xgrid/

It won't work with blender yet and i haven't read the development docs but I wonder what can be done for distrubuted rendering?

is anyone using any of these versions of blender 2.31a,2.31,2.30 on a wallstreet powerbook? any version since 2.30 has crashed at startup. I know my laptop has only 4 mb for video ram - 2.28c works fine on the same laptop - so has the new GUI interface introduced in 2.30 demand more video ram? sys.s...

Blender 2.23 for mac does have problems rendering, nothing you can do will fix it. Now 2.25 BlenderPublisher works great for rendering but it is very slow compared to the linux & windows versions. I would suggest getting your hands dirty and figure a way of compiling an OS X version from the source ...
