a few months ago, I read about this: http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/05/21/windlight-atmospheric-rendering-comes-to-second-life/ I don't know if there's anything useful at the moment, coder-wise, but perhaps it would worth a glance for ideas, technologies, papers, etc. I didn't delved into myself be...

no more clue from me, I'm not a Windows user. Perhaps make a search for this .dll directly over the internet, download it and put it in Blender's folder.

Good luck!

and - actually I'm really glad for this build, so if I make it running it'll be nice. I like to test new features, but am not yet used to do some building. I gathered some information for Ubuntu distros here: Compiling Blender for Kubuntu 6.06 LTS Could you try these information and report any succ...

perhaps it is related to the note on the Download page: http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/ For the Windows build, you may need to install this official update. Vista doesn't need this, but users of older Windows versions should install it if they experience a crash during startup of Blende...

You should seek support from http://www.blenderartists.org/forum, would be a better place for getting answers. First of all, unwrap your model or calculate it's UV (the UV should appear in the UV/Image Editor). Then Add a new image: Image > New... a floatting panel appears, letting you to specify an...

Re: Mesh Lights

Hello, I'm new to the blender forums, and I have a question; is it possible to make mesh lights, or is it still under developing, because I just use a bunch of area lights to make my shadows look the way they do, and if anyone wants to see my work, then ask. the closest you'd have would be to use r...

use middle-mouse button on the border, to split the view. I was not aware it was possible with the SPACE bar. I tried on v2.37a, but it didn't work. Are you sure of this way of splitting views?

Cheers,

Knowing that Gabio's build was tailored for python2.4, I urged to install it, because since I changed my computer (AMD Turion64, Mandriva LE 2005 x86_64) I couldn't install a 2.3 python (even by compiling it myself; in fact I get the very same troubles as below). But unfortunately, I seem to be unab...

Not all materials need translucency in their scattering... The first script developped by the MH Team is only for Superficial SSS. The full (Deep) SSS is now available, and let you achieve even more realistic results, but its use is more difficult (hence the need of a Superficial and easy to use SSS...
