Your first question needs clarification, is it mesh changes do not show during a cycles render or is it that cycles just is not working after you edit the mesh? If it's the first, then it is likely that the changes are not great enough to be seen. Grab a vertex and yank it way out of place then chec...

Hot key link http://download.blender.org/documentation/BlenderHotkeyReference.pdf I made a mistake in my earlier responsce. You can just punch in a number in snap mode and that is how far it will move. However that is all relative to your zoom. So if you are zoomed way in and press / enter point one...

You might be able to change it in the user preferences, however you would than have to change them with every mesh snap. Not real practicle. I sugest you watch all the beginer tutorials you can bear. You can also download a shortcut listing. There is a post in this forum with a link. Your best bet i...

Cycles Vs Render

Having a bit of an issue. My cycles render looks great but if I hit F12 to actualy render the image, the image is blocky, the edges apper like squares.

How do I resolve this? Is it nessasary to hit F12 when using cycles or can we just save the active cycles image?

Not sure if you are watching your posts but here are a couple very good sites for blender, they both have extensive tutorials from the very basic to pro level.

Thanks I thought it might. I looked under user preferences / addons and render and saw a few that are still in work. I noticed it while watching a tutorial on cycles with nodes, and thought I would switch to my graphics card and see if it rendered quicker / better. and lo and behold I did not have t...

2.64 cycles / rendering properties

I am using 2.64 and I noticed that under my render panel there is no option to choose the hardware to render from. I only have display and feature set. Feature Set has only one other option which is experimental. By default the Feature Set box shows Supported. Dose this mean my renders are being pro...

Just for fun I experimented with a different approach. I found that if you delete one vertex on the side of the sphere opening a hole and then select the hole loop and use Circle / or Shift Alt S and just go till it will not go any more then add three loop cuts to each side or edge of the hole and t...
