Remember you have to specify the number of frames you want the animated texture to play, via the "Frames" button.

Blender can't do lightmaps as yet--the best it can do is static radiosity vertex-colormaps, which arn't nearly as good and require a large degree of subdivision.

Re: rip out features

I want to ask a simple question. How can I rip out code. Or in otherwords. Rip out code, the buttons and features linked to that code. Just erasing the code does not work. I want to build a test compile engine something like this. It would make compileing much faster. http://www.aprilcolo.com/bookl...

I've had the same questions, but am sitting quietly waiting to see what happens when the physics library become open-sourced and can be put back into the program. Hopefully things take off after that. You mean collision detection library. The physics library, Sumo, was made open source with the res...

I can't even begin to remember which post I found this in, but I believe that whoever posted it said something to the effect that when development on the game engine was first considered, several external engines were looked at and Crystal Space was succesfully integrated. Unfortuntly, Crystal Space...

We havnt made that many decisions as yet but yes we might write our own from scratch. We are working in Windows using MSCV++ 6 so if you have that it might, if not never mind as yet we havnt used any platform specific code. At the moment we are GLUT to interface with OpenGL, so you will need them. ...

How are you going to do the game engine itself? Will you start out with Ketsiji, or will you write one from scratch?

I could help. I know C++ (among other languages, all self-taught), although admittably I don't have any experience in it (except for minor experimentation with the blender game engine).

Unfortunatly, I don't really know any 3D programming (except for some of the theory behind it).

The blender game engine is built into blender. This gives us a nice all in one modelling and game dev environment and web plugin. Crystal space (Looks great) but is so different from from blender that I don't think that they could be intergrated-- I'm not so sure that is entirely correct, consideri...

What is Dynamo?

Hi, I was wondering, what is Dynamo?

In blender/source/gameengine/Ketjtsi/KX_PhysicsEngineEnums.h there is an enum that defines three engines: Ode, Sumo and Dynamo. So, my question is:

What is Dynamo?

You could also mess with the Xrepeat and Yrepeat values in the Image Texture options.

These values control how many times the image is repeated across an object, and might work better then simply UVtexturing.
