That's why i said that it might be good to see it in Blender IN THE FUTURE (and that's many years away, probably...) :P

But i like the name "smart texture filtering". What a smart way to make a pixelated texture look good :P

It was just a thought/idea/plan/gibberish anyway....

Smart Texture Filtering

Hey, i just found this website with a demo of a new better filtering technique. It would be great to see something like this in the game engine (in the future, since no hardware supports this yet) http://www.hiend3d.com/smartflt.html I downloaded the demo and it runs at a fairly decent speed on my o...

I remember when i tried 3ds for about 30 minutes. I hated every second of it :D

Then i went back to Blender :D
Because the interface is so great.

That's another addition to the Anti-Wishlist! Keep posting!

I'd like Blender to support both OpenGL and DirectX (at least in the windows version [but i guess i'm the only one who really wants this...]) , and maybe a fast software renderer for people with slow video cards (or none at all). But what i would really hate to see is Blender becoming just a mix of ...

Actually, 90% of your wishlist has already been mentioned, except for the actor mesh thingy and XP compatibility (it does need to be improved, there are some issues with it [not bugs, just issues] that can be solved in other ways rather than buying a GeforceFX or an ATI 9800 :P) Keep on posting feat...

It would just be great if all (well, um....only the best ones) of those texture/sequence plugins were integrated in Blender :D

And also, go to the "The Next Release" forum and post something in the wishlist. We're kinda working on a plan to get developers to look at the most requested features so they can implement them in Blender :)

Good idea...but with all these feature requests...we should put them all on a list and separate them into different sections, instead of deleting this thread :P And maybe, we can put them on the different forums, and as each requested feature is added in new versions of Blender, the requested featur...

OpenGL 2.0 is out? When did that happen? As far as i know the latest version of OpenGL is 1.4 (and only newer video cards support it). Version 2.0 is in the works, but won't be done for now (and only the newest video cards [at the time when it's released] will benefit from it)

I wonder if developers are reading this long wishlist (otherwise, this forum thread is kinda useless :P)

Small addition to my wishlist:

-random rotation of dupliverted particle objects (it's kinda lame that they all have to go in the same direction without rotating....)

And my wishlist continues...!! -Increase or remove object amount limits -Increase texture size (resolution) limit (if there really is one, i think there is...) -Fix import bugs (if there are still any...) -A smart decimator that only removes all polygons that are not really needed (while preserving ...
