Of course you can. And it takes that disk space :) I usually compress them afterwards with mencoder, so this is definitely not an issue for me (I'd rather compress it myself anyway).

If you are talking about two wierd, flickering triangles, I guess that's not a bug, just z-fighting: the corner quads are actually a couple of triangles which happen to overlap. Try selecting the face and ctrl+T.
But maybe this is not what you were talking about in the first place.

Very interesting; another useful feature would be multiple UV channels, this way we could create lightmaps with blender.

Yes, I completely agree with this one. Doesn't seem difficult to implement and I can't see any reason for not doing it.

Yeah, of course, the date is not a mistery: it is just "0" in the "unix timestamp" field 8)

It's not exactly the same thing, but you could try out the "set" option. This way the content of another scene is added to the current, but it is not editable.

Or, you can use the "Center at cursor" feature after positioning the cursor where the dot should be :)

Nice work; I haven't actually tried it out yet but I will. A minor concern is that your algorithm seems a bit costly, for one thing at least: that to find the opposite vertex you have to look for it in the entire vertex list. Maybe you could do this on a vertex group basis; it could be also a featur...

wouldn't it be better if we could just reassing hotkeys dynamically? so anyone could set them up as needed. E.g. in my gnome setup many ctrl hotkeys clash with some set in the window manager.

I'm sorry, I'm using blender 2.37a on linux ;) The problem you are experiencing doesn't seem to be you fault, anyway.
