Okay so, here you are. This is far from perfect and maybe it's not even exactly what you need, but with some quick changes it could suit your needs. Hi, I had the same problem and wrote a custom script for it. I would love to post it but unfortunately is custom-taylored for my convenience and would serve only as a guideline for an actual, more general script. But maybe again someone has already written it.

"strip" removes a lot of information which is not needed to actually run the program, but only to facilitate debugging.
