Blender 231/231a Crash on Launch

Blender (Windows) is crashing when trying to launch the application. Same problem on two different PC's. Latest video drivers on both platforms. Can no longer launch any of the earlier versions either since the first 231 crash.

Anyone else having this problem or know how to solve it?

Thanks

Re: Blender 2.28c quits on "load image" in Backbuf

I've had a similar problem with 2.30 under Win2K except that the computer goes into an instant reboot. Especially with the backbuf button (output) switched on in the Render buttons window. Instant computer reset when you try to render (F12). An earlier mail in this newsgroup already mentioned a poss...

Why not just get Ton a good PC, AMD 2600, 2 gig of ram, 40 gig hd- 17" LCD flatscreen (So Ton's eyes dont get tired when coding), Nvidia GForce. I think getting an affordable PC might be a more achieveable goal I would contribute a few hendred if there was a fund set up. I agree. If we could get a ...

I've been able to animate a cable using a curve instead of armatures. I've experimented with it using vertex keys and it works great. Just assign a small circle to the path BevOb field to make the cable thickness any size you want. Then start animating the curve points using vertex keys like you wou...

Re: Very nice!

I really like the new 2.26, but the plugins still aren't working. (I have a recompiled version of 2.25 where the plugins do work.) Anyone else experiencing this problem? Ditto. Just tested it and the plugins aren't working in 2.26. I still have to go into 2.23 to run the 3DS import script for examp...

I find that the current UI is an absolute success. Yes, at first site - it'll flip your wig - but as you begin using it, it becomes extremely intuitive. I've been in the graphics industry over 20 years now and have used just about every graphics app out there. Even today while using these other apps...
