Any of these releases fixed the text problem of 2.41?

I've looked at all these posts and can't tell, but has any of the windows releases fixed the text animation problem? This is a big problem, I'm at a standstill here.

The text problem is a HUGE issue that must be addressed quickly. I cannot create any hi-res AVI files with text.

You should report it to the big tracker, look on the left side of this page. The unfortunate thing about the bug tracker is its registration doesn't work to well. So good luck! :D

I agree Lotek, the dialog should not show "all files". Should be an easy program change too.

Improved command line options

As soon as I get registered in the development wiki, I'm going to request improved command line options for blender. I wanted to get some opinions on this idea. In lieu of constructing a render farm, I find myself rendering from several instances of the command line in Win XP. This works fairly quic...

Yes, that would work too. The easiest and best would be to adopt the OpenDML standard http://www.the-labs.com/Video/odmlff2-avidef.pdf

Need help with bug tracker site

I know this probably isnt the place for this, but I have no choice. I never got email when I registered at bug tracker site. I've also sent an email to the address there. No one home! What to do now?

yes, exactly. It appears the standard was a direct result of FAT32. I'm using NTFS which has a really large file size limit. The point though is that no software should write a file larger than its standard. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a standard, wouldn't it?

bad user, no donut
I don't know what you mean. But just monitor the output file size, no guessing involved.

Yes, probably a good reason to use image sequences. But, Blender should not try to create an AVI file larger than 2 Gig.

No, I have disk space. I found the answer to this though, there is a 2 Gig limit to avi files.

Blender file size limit

Does Blender have the usual 2 gig limit on file size? I created some large avi files (2.5 Gig) that appear corrupted but htought this may be a program limit and not a bug. I'm using Win XP with NTFS, so there's no file size limit from the OS.

what? have a non-opaque alpha but occlude completely what is behind them? no... that doesn't make any sense I know it doesn't, that's why I'm posting in the forum. It's real easy to try too. I'm using the native "stars" background, maybe that's where the problem is at. I've heard others having trou...

I understand how the alpha works, that's not the issue. With 100% alpha background objects show through if z-transparency is on. I've discovered that this issue is gone using the unified render, although the unified render crashes blender unless one uses RGBA. So, my first question is can objects be...
