i want to make it clear again, that i am not against blender, I seriously just cannot agree with statements you made on an objective not a personal level. And that's alright. Of course I include other programs than blender in my repertoire as well. I haven't really used Maya, so I dare not touch th...

I know that nowbody can't resist (refuse) from technical progress! For example: you still use stereo cesette player, or mp3? And come the time, when Blender will have GI. But! But other 3D soft will have more new features. Mmm.. but then again if you think about it: what is technical progress? Blen...

Argh, Macromedia should be banned because they're not willing to make flash available on 64bit platforms. Idiots they are. These are some small video demos about some new features:

OK, sorry for stating the obvious =) I haven't actually tried the fluid sim, but doesn't it take the amount of rendered frames into account? If you use the start time button to define the actual start time of the simulation (in seconds) for the first blender frame, and the end time to define the end...

Could you please be a bit more specific, I have no clue as to what you're asking. You can also try www.elysiun.com =) And why not write "you" instead of "y". Gives a better impression, and it really won't waste time.
Thanks
Thanks

I'll second that, again. At least the onion skinning feature has been requested multiple times before. I guess we'll see it some day =) Personally I'd be more happy about something that would show me the 'arcs' in my animation. There is a script (found on elysiun) which works very well - but once ag...

You're kindof right there ztonzy =) 'Tree of destruction' is probably the best translation so far, still it's a bit of a loose one. There isn't really a word like 'tuhopuu' in finnish officially. It's more like putting 'destruction' and 'tree' together in a funny way in my opinion (eg. destructree o...

It's always these stupid little things in all software that is so outrageously aggrivating. Blender has the advantage of being an open source project. Which of course means that instead of barking around you can join in and make things better. Being so wise about design and all (why not prove it). ...

so what`s with the sound on linux? it works OK on every other linux machine? For me it does. I'm using Slackware 10.1 (with some updated parts) and Alsa for sound output. Works well, even though the 'audio mixing buffer' setting has to be set high (using 2048 atm). I think I read somewhere that it ...

Why not? Why should the software be compatible to low-end users? And to what extend? And if they should not be forgotten, then why should the upper end be forgotten? Maybe because from what I remember that's what Blender is, or at least was, all about: making 3d available for everyone. Not once did...

I'm using 1280 x 1024, because my monitor allows just that. This is probably a very common resolution. If I divide my 3D view into two parts, neither one will be able to show all buttons in editmode without scrolling. Personally I don't feel scrolling is too bad of a thing. Sometime I get the fellin...

Annoying things about widgets and animating
Hi, I don't like to complaint, and I understand the widgets are more or less WIP, but some suggestions: First of all, I'm currently working on some character animation (Bachelor's thesis) and continuosly seem to get annoyed about the fact that Blender always defaults to 'auto' type handles on IPO cu...
