Question: how to switch between local and global widgets? The builds from several days ago, with the first widget versions defaulted to showing the widgets in local coordinate space. But now everything only shows up in global coordinates, which isn't very good, how many times do you need to scale fo...

Noone has mentioned this, but the type 2 rotation widget (my favourite by the way...) has a small bug, that when one of the half-cirlces is close to parallel with the screen, it disappears. NOT GOOD! Especially since this is exactly the view that you would normally want to rotate any object around t...

I'd also like to say: NOOOOOOOOO!!!! We need fullscreen! Ctrl: the old G/R/S was better, and more consistent with the rest of the UI. As a side note, how do you know which widget mode you're in??? With G/R/S, you know which button you pressed. With Ctrl, the only way to know is by the shape of the w...

Unless I'm mistaken, but by default, mice rotating wheel is used as a 3rd button. I don't know what kind of school you're in, but all [95%] the schools actually having design and 3d software have to use 3 buttons mice, it is a minimum requirement on most of the 3d packages available. It's a technic...

Ahhh, better all the time! This is probably the first really user-friendly change in a long time in Blender! Some things I noted (and others might have also done the same): - The handles of the resize widget shouldn't scale, but the grey one in the middle should - The pie should have the angles, sig...

Great, thanks! The widgets are getting beter and better. I find myself using the grab widget in editmode all the time for quickly moving the vertices in one direction, especially useful for small 'nudges'. About the rotating widgets: Type 0: Good, easy to visualise the "handles". Type 2: This one is...

The widget appears at the pivot point. However, grabbing is the only transform that doesn't depend on the pivot point (scaling and rotating do). I tend to keep the pivot point on 3D cursor, since I can easily place it at any given point with the Shift-S snap menu. But then when editing zoomed in, th...

Finally! The widget is great, thanks for that! However, it's weird that it changes colour to gray when G/R/S is pressed. The axis, or the plane that the motion is constrained to should be shown on the widget. IE: pressing G, then MMB, and moving alon eg. the X axis should work the same way as simply...

IMPORTANT!!! Please switch back the plane-constraint button from Alt to Ctrl, or any other button! Right now Alt+click is the alternative to the third button on the mouse. And probably most PCs on this planet still lack a 3 button mouse. Some examples for me: laptops, the computers in school, Macs.....

How about when rotating, and selecting an axis to rotate around, a highlighted circle would appear perpendicular to the axis in question. Would be massive help in visualising what the plane of the rotation is. Maybe even a small arrowhead appearing on the circle, oriented depending on whether you st...

Followup on -efbie-'s comments: - I agree with what you said on highlighting the axes, the user tends to follow the motion of the object, not the cursor. The object should stand still. - I would also add that the three (X,Y,Z) axes should be highlighted more boldly, either with brighter colours, or ...

Just one teeny-weeny little bug: The tooltip text for the "Skip to next keyframe" button in the timeline window is wrong, it says skip ti previous keyframe.

Ahh, goodie-goodie, /me likes new timeline! I can see that the old icon that was used for the timeline was replaced with the new "clock" icon. Instead of replacing it, a new icon should be added. Why? Because the same icon is used in the Buttons window -> Scene buttons -> Sound block buttons! Now th...

cekuhnen: what do you mean 'erased'? It's still there, both the specular and the diffuse Toon shader.
If you mean edge rendering, it's been moved to the Post Process tab of the render buttons.

Well these scanners are expensive things. However, I recently saw this stand in a shopping center near where I live, where they scan your head, and then burn it into those plastic cubes (you know, those little bubbles inside solid plastic), they're around $30-40 apiece. I thought maybe if I asked th...
