Completing the Ipos

Hello! Since blender has been open-source a few changes have occured in materials, textures and world. For example, materials have new shader types with there own sliders. Raytracing introduced another few sliders. There also is translucency and displacement mapping. World has also got new stuff, li...

Hi! I'm quite sure Carrara does it. If it's not carrara it's one of those bryce like softs. There surely is a smarter way to do such a thing than what i came up with. I also had a different approach in mind... /me does a quick search... hey, it's bryce! check it here: http://www.brycetech.com/tutor/...

Booleans on rendering time? per pixel?

The question is simple... Boolean operations can be done on the actual geometry. But we could also want them to be done on rendering time, per pixel. Why? it would allow better animations of the ops and surely cleaner booleans I know this can be done in theory since other softwares do it. Could blen...

hello,

maybe this is what you are looking for:

select an object with key frames and hit the Kkey... blender will show the object's keyframes... then you can select them and modify them (grab, scale, rot)... very useful to tweak an animation!

Thanks for the good news JesterKing at the end all was working but it was hackish, It's good that now it even works without my hacks. Thanks to Michel! I haven't been able to run a test, I have some exams this week and next. And downloading msvc takes forever! But since it builds now I think I'll ex...

Hello, thanks for the patience and the hard work!

I won't be able to test the changes for some time since I'm away.
But as soon as I get hope i'll take a fresh download of .NET and from the CVS and test it.

I'm in a hurry, sorry,
:D

There's progress! I've modified msvc.py so that scons stops trying to find automatically where are the includes and everything... cl.exe is found rc.exe is found ar.exe isn't... geez! why doesn't it simply READ the damn env variables! okay, now I need to find out what part of scons call ar.exe and s...

thanks alien-xmp that started solving the problem. I guess using the "é" letter in the path name didn'thelp either some I moved everything out of the cygwin dir and placed it on the disk's root. It now doesn't complain anymore about missing sconscript files or anything and tries to load cl.exe C:\bf...

Hello! here I am complaining again ^__^ I've been trying to compile blender using Scons and MSVC command line tools... there's something wrong... the paths are correct since I can call the compiler and the linker from anywhere in the dos shell. but when I run scons, I get an error, i guess scons is ...

Hello! Thanks for the answer! I'll be waiting for your mail. I've cleaned up the SConstruct so you can spot the parts that were modified. I hope this is helpful, cause I'm not sooo sure about what I did, I'm no coder (just a great copier ;)) For the Win32 problem, I guess i'm going to have to mess w...

Hum... hello people! Yeap, this reminds me of some tests I did, and that I'm still doing... Let sey all my materials in blender can be self lit... I use a bunch of textures (mostly blend and envmaps) and empties to determine the bright spots and the shadow spots (that is what I used to do cel-shadin...

[MSVC CLT & Scons] Still bugging me...

Hello, I'm of those guys who got tuhopuu and the bf-blender compiling following Hos' instructions since april 2003 I think... Once I got it working, it all ran fine most of the time. However, lately, makefiles won't work, and I see the scons solution is growing. So I've installed scons for win32 and...

Since blender has a povray exporter (povanim by jms) and is completely willing to collaborate with other free software (at least I beleive so) maybe some of the project gurus could get to contact Rune, it could be worth trying, "je dirais même plus" not trying would be the worst solution...

I've been testing area lights... Maybe it's just me, but i simply can't get satifying results in matter of quality, together with fast render times. Even in low resolution, you have to set samples at 16 to have the softest shadows possible, and that takes a LOT of time. A lot longer than exporting t...
