Why was the patent granted in the first place? A number of reasons: Insufficent research. Patent examiners not being familiar with an industry or trade and its practices. The sheer volume of patent applications. The last one is a particular problem in the US Patent Office. There are simply too many...

Then the american patent office says: "Okay then". And now the world can't use the letter B anymore? *american can be canged to dutc...

first of all, lets not get venomous about patents in general, i think this doesn't lead to a informed discussion. Second of all, what the patent legally protects is the application of the 'claims' section of the patent. so one must look at the claims and see if they are applicable. Thirdly, a patent...

Yes, well, there are more people in this thread. But still, I would not expect to much of that on a develo...

my opinion: the SVG and Hybrid sections are much better than the blender section; they show good composition, color balance (coming from me that a toss up) and balanced use of perspective and context. the characters are well proportioned and have a sense of individuality, purpose, and identity. hydr...

i think you can take the 'compatible graphics card' thread as a failed attempt to mine any useful information. there hasn't been a good solid reliable success at blenchmarking anything since the NaN days.
