hi, no, all ok, no problem here. you were clear in your description - i just went a bit offtopic, i think. and honestly...it was me who blamed blender for it's interface when i began with it and before i got used to it. :) but i may disagree in some way - in my opinion it's not the interface which l...

hi, very nice intention, but... ...the blender interface may be "uncomfortable" at the beginning, but the workflow is great when you get used to it. i think there is no need to simplify things, even for children. you got a learning curve to master, sure, but thats the way things work, you got to -le...

if you've got some visuals to show at the current stage (animated or still doesn't matter) i'll check if i can help out with bgm/sfx. show me some content and i'll make a short demo so you can consider letting me in the team or not. fair deal. :) btw.: which platform do you aim at? mobile, console o...

for the music+sfx, here. tell me something about the story (background, character, setting) and what type of bgm/sfx you'll need and i'll check if i'm able to support you. i may need some kind of concept art to get into the mood. so if you've got a team (not just you and me ^^) and a good storyline ...

ok, thanks a lot. i'll (re)set up my environment in leopard and give it a try. if it works and the position of a maintainer here is just doing the build and messing with the configs i'll do it as long as my spare time allows. i'm a unix-sysadmin so this stuff is a common task but messing around with...

thanks for the reply. so there is a good chance the code would compile on PPC-Mac? i'll give it a try. a bit of tweaking to make the build go won't be a problem but i'm not a 'coder', esp. when it comes to hw-releated stuff - so maintaining the ppc-arch isn't the right job for me, i think. anyway - ...

hi,

rendering stills works (pressing F12)?

if "yes" you may take a look at your installed codecs. if "no" check your lighting in the scene (f.e. place a lamp in front of your cam-object or something like that).

hi,

have you tried rendering within the .blend-filepath (// - should be the default)?
maybe you could post a screeni of your rendersettings?
it's REALLY BIG, it's a stadium. what to do?
Add an empty and give it a name if you like to, then select this added empty in the camera-object Settings/DoF Section as the focus object and place it where your focus should be. F.e. place it just in front of your stadium and give it a try.

how big is that object you select as the focus-target? DOF seems to focus on the middle of the selected focus-object which isn't always what you are looking for when using DOF in a scene. if you want to set the scene in place with kind of an artistic blur-effect you should look at the compositor and...

Hi, a blender game? Why not simply put your project and Blender on a stick, run it at your friends Mac, then export (pack+runtime)? In case of platform-Support (for packaging and distribution) running a Mac is a big plus cause it's a lot easier to bundle for OSX, Linux and Windows by running a few v...
I don't know how to install OpenCL. Do you know where I can find it ?
Hi, OpenCL should come with an actual driver-package for your GFX-Card. Anyway, you are running OSX (i think? Or do we talk about a Bootcamp install on your iMac?) so which Version do you run? AFAIK OpenC...
