In this version having to constantly flit between the three mapping buttons can become annoying and somewhat tiresome, causing what I’m terming the "Bwarg syndrome". I have to agree, Bwarg syndrom is nasty. ***** I was starting to agree to all this... but then I accidentally found out somethi...

what about SimCloth v3

It went open source (GNU) several months ago now too. I think the original Blender cloth sim was based on the older version or concepts, wasn't it?

Arg. I hate single-level undo and single clipboards... anyway. Carnivore, thanks - that's exactly what I was getting. Mine is slightly harder to read if anything. The Oct20 build works great though! Using W2K Dell with that stupid Intel chip 82845G/GL that crashes Blender all the time. I think there...

(after picking up jaw from the floor...) :-) Way to go Ton! Love the way the recent UI suggestions have been implemented. Of course, all the tutorials will have to be rewritten now... :-) .... Arg! I can't stop!!! Sorry!.... Just a couple of further suggestions/problems....! sigh 1) I presume the "f...

You know, another thing that just hit me - another one of the things I like about Bryce is all the preset materials and textures. It makes it so easier and fast to try something out! There are a number of TEXTURE presets in Blender, but now that we have the "F" button to save empty material blocks, ...

generic "project" organization of files

This is continuing (kind of) from this thread: http://www.blender.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=2166 I've added this to the Feature Request tracker. This is sort of upside down - the main points are near the end, but I don't have time to rewrite it. At least you can see how...

REAL easy request for newbies

I have a suggestion, having done this myself and having seen numerous postings over the years crying, "Why is it black?!" On the default .blend file... PUT A LIGHT IN IT! Surely this has been suggested before but with all the other changes... Yes, I know its not ideal and ya gotta read the manual, e...

I have to agree with broken - leave them flat. The super-subtle gradient isn't worth it. Either go whole-hog with BEAUTIFUL, THREE-D BUTTONS! or save the space & CPUs for more useful things. I forget if anyone mentioned this before (there's what, 9 pages now?! new thread perhaps? :? ), but I remembe...

I've used this in Amorphorium. You can use any(?) type of "tool" to sculpt with (I think that's probably overkill for the vertex-conservative Blender crowd 8) )

It also lets you push/pull the vertices along the normal, or along the view plane. I think something else too, but I forget.

This is probably solved, but you know its going to be done again. I got caught recently with this in a post on Elysium (maybe it. You can't move a mesh with particles and expect them to be emitted from the new location because particles are PRE-calculated from the starting position. I wanted ...

new mesh material easier

I couldn't see anything about this, but there's so much all over the place... so. Adding a new material to a mesh is a PAIN. F5, F9, new, F5, new, F9... Bah. Where to change.... hmm... Maybe the MAT indicator on Material Buttons (F5)? Click on a drop-down (or are we supposed to call it pop-up? the "...

Beyond just a quad, I've wanted this for large areas of vertices. To save me from my lack of modelling^H^H^H^H^H^ planning^H^H^H^H^H sticky situations :? I'm thinking this would be good as a generic size function. Sounds like the local axis functionality that's been talked about should do this, righ...
