joeri: Euh,... That sortof defies the reason for using displacement mapping? I don't agree. I think displacement mapping is here to save memory and speed. If you visualise the displacement, you maybe loose part of the speed, but still save memory. And who says you have to display the displacement on...

Script recorder

I've just come to an idea, when i saw some wink tutorials made for blender. Could there be made a script to record any session, like eg. in ZBrush? It's a perfect way to make tutorials for anything and in a very small downloadable size, and, if you stop the script you can continue with the actual fi...

an-toni: I know the proposal is very rough by now. I'll try to make it more clear. Pierre-Luc_Auclair Submap? It looks like vertex displacement to me. Yes, what i show in the concept is just vertex displacement, but in fact, this concept would be also for replacing all kinds of textures and radiosit...

You should ask this question on www.elysiun.com, since this is a developers forum.

a way how to do the tail is to make emptys which are parented to each other, and give them a time offset against their parent, i tried it, the results aren't best, but you can use it...

I was just now coming here to request the same of a little different reason :) My problem is this: sometimes, when you make a model and rig it, you recognize that the angles between bones are not optimal for the ik solutions - the restpose angles are taken and used, sometimes causing bending in wron...

I disagree - Sumo is widely used because it's the only open source engine with an easy to use gui and the possibility to click and runt the game. But it's functionality and structure is so outdated that building upon it would be probably a mistake. Of course a bacwards compatibility - such as conver...

this is not finished, but the basic workflow can be- setup static particles(wt a step so that there's only one at one place of the surface), then weight paint the group you need, make dupliverts of objects(hair in this case)

hi you should ask this question on elysiun.com, this is mainly developers forum. You should check if in the "world buttons" the physics engine is Sumo. Also the tutorial is for an older version of blender 2.25.
