UML and design of a new skin control system..

(when I mention "vertex keying" below replace that with "relative vertex keying" its what I meant to say) A bigger image can be found here: http://www.bl3nder.com/UML/DesiredRelationshipOfBonesInBlender.png http://www.bl3nder.com/UML/DesiredRelationshipOfBonesInBlenderSmall.png The original MDL (a C...

I remember talking to Ton about this long ago and I think he said that the IK is computed in passes, and each pass approximates the proper joint rotations for the skeleton. So it settles in at some solution over like say 10 passes over the structure, if you have lots of bones, this can take even lon...

Thinking about time/time complexity of w-edges vs Blender's

Can someone turn this into a PDF for me? :D This probably should be called RELATION OF WINGS POLYGONS TO BLENDER POLYGONS But its mostly just structured thought processes for considering the relation of winged edge polygons to representations assumed of blender's polygons. It will change as more is ...

Its now working guys..

I had noticed it was using calls to debug code and I had turned off the logging feature, and was causing the Mark.php code to stop rendering.. Now it works, so you can use it.. http://www.bl3nder.com/UMark Here is an example to test on.. http://www.bl3nder.com//UMark/UMarkMain2.php?url=.%252Fblender...

I like the second listing, it makes sense.. I think the docs/education area could be split up into docs/tutorials, and education might remain as a forum.. The docs/tutorials might be arranged like this: docs : chapter 1 : navigation - tutorial links pertaining to navigation chapter 2: meshes - tutor...

Blender functionality board should include all that is about blender's functionality and that includes feature requests, thus including animation, character animation and rendering.. But if its more of something having to do with semantics, like "this is not the discussion group where you talk about...

We havnt made that many decisions as yet but yes we might write our own from scratch. We are working in Windows using MSCV++ 6 so if you have that it might, if not never mind as yet we havnt used any platform specific code. At the moment we are GLUT to interface with OpenGL, so you will need them. ...

- - - Which is useful design-wise.. Its better than using something like power point.. It sure is! As long as the majority of developers feel comfortable viewing the architectural concepts from an OO-perspective, it should be a very helpful tool. I'm thinking it could be used by others than develop...

In blender 3.x there may be considerations for ways to improve the Gameblender part.. Although gameblender files made of previous will have to remain compatible with future blenders, there will need to be discussion open for consider how to improve Gameblender, such as in the functionality board.. If I remember ArgoUML properly, the syncing (so to speak) was more or less one-way, I'm afraid. It was pretty easy going from the UML-design to a non-implemented framework of packages and classes (with methods and datamembers), but once you started hacking the actual source, there was no apparent w...

Umm... well, that sounds more or less like what I know. UML is quite a science all by itself... I've used ArgoUML a bit on some java-projects. Nothing big, mainly some simple tests. It was a while ago, so I don't know the current status of the app in question. I remember it was a bit on the fiddly ...

Don't thank me yet.. I went to do the tutorial and I thought I knew a lot of stuff myself.. The tutorial may just be an introduction to ArgoUML .. How much do you know about UML? I found this tutorial link on UML http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/UML_Tutorial.htm As I understand UML from other develope...

I don't think anyone has given up on a functionality board of sorts, just given up on the idea that the functionality forces changes on the programers or leads the design, its more just approving and suggesting the form the design should take. Because the strict non-code-experienced users will need ...

You mean the same as in 'f' face mode, but something that you can edit when in edit mode.. Yes this would be very useful, what I have to do is rotate the object slightly so that I can see what is on my side and what is on the opposite side.. Boy we need that feature request categorization system rig...
