creased edges, numeric input/display

hey guys, i am loving the new creased egde thing. however a percentage numeric input would be very cool, so that someone could get say 50% on all edges. (i don't know if it has been done, i havn't played around with it heaps yet, so if it has then sorry for wasting time) and the from black -yellow s...

Blender Battle

Unfortunatly i cannot afford the time nor the money to go to a confrence (one of the fun things about living on an island at the bottom of the world) i am hoping/dreaming to have a multi-country/ multi-confrence, simultaneous blender battle. perhaps about 1 hour long or 30 mins (if one hour is to lo...

suport request section

where is it.

i submitted a legitimate bug with blender, and it was sent to the support request section. (ton did it) i am needing to find where this section is now so i can reply to it.

i might just submit it as a new bug request because it is a bug.

"i realise that another compnay, product, software title could hapily use the Blender name (as long as it were not compeating with blender)" that's not entirely true, Blender can be considered a brand and one could argue that no software product in general could use the name "Blender". it really de...

blender logo legal issues

ok guys i have a question. "who owns the rights/copyright/ trade mark on the blender logo" this is a strange area, my mother works in the industry so i know a fair bit about this kind of thing. since blender is an open source thing, is the logo also able to be used and distributed??? i realise that ...

DXF is not a single version of file format.

there is the original DXF which was 100% 2d.

then they got autocad with 3d settings etc... so the format developed, i am guessing your issue is somewhere in that part of it.

Alt yes its called "rendering in passes" i have rendered lights in blender, like 5 seperate lights etc... and then rendered global illumination in yafray. combining many layers of fast blender renders with a, reasonable time yafray render of shadows gives for the nicest results. and in photoshop or ...

i have jsut moved your images to the back end of my gallery page, they are in the same location but just not clogin the begining of the album. i don't mind them being there at all, but just for cleanliness and because new images default to the begining of the album (to keep things new) it would be a...

in all seriousness for a feature to be put in at a price that will make it "not a hobby status" each person wanting a feature that they would pay for would need to pay $100+ for an easy feature and potentially $1000+ for a more complex feature. easy feature is like adding a new shader or somthing, c...

this error ahs only ever come up with me and about 1 million other blender users since the 2.31 release. i beg to argue that it is a blender issue and not anything else. thrid party video software has no issues encoding to these formats from the same render. yet blender (with even a AVI JPG) will cr...

padrino, a 30 second render will not be reduced as much as a 15 min render. i ahve gotten 15 min renders down to 5 mins with the intel compile. i have been using it since the first version he released and i won't use blender unless it has been optimised now. i am hoping that yafray can be compiled w...

Topic: Yafray render crashes with UV maps?

try reloading the latest yafray install. there was a bug in the early download of yafray and this caused it to fail for everyone (only when textures were used) however yafray doesn't suport the texface option, it will suport UV mapping as a normal image however (through the use of a texture) so down...
