yeah my yafray experience is fantastic :D the GI options are good and the results are nice. the render time is the only bummer as background rendering isn't done yet :( but thats not a major issue or anything. everything else works perfectly blenders raytracer works very well also, with a GI option ...

canceling a yafray render without crashing blender?

well can this be done. the new intergrated blender/yafray combo seems to call yafray from within the blender terminal (under windows) and this cannot be stoped without crashing blender. does the esc key work or is it suposed to work? if there is a way please tell me, because its a sd day when you ca...

i personally think it should be a render option. render in layers, to output to XCF file or PSD layered file.

rendering in passes

does anyone know when this will be implimented at all. i have heard talk about it. passes such as background shadow only (e.g. GI white only materials with shadow only) colour without any shading and such spec ... ... those ones are really the ones i need. and doing them all manually is a joke, anyw...

thanks for the info ton. i jsut got back from my holiday and i guess i would jsut like to keep the manual still for no other reason apart from being able to look up the simple questions i forget all the time that probably won't change such as quick keys and such. oh and as for e-mailing you directly...

excuse me, is it possible i get a binary for Linux, or windows of the altered version. the thing is i have spent about 10 hours trying to compile and trying to install Nvidia drivers (which i think have the GLX libary on them). but to no avail i have Soooooo much university work to do that this time...
